"Why would someone want to make another fashion blog?"

Well, first off I doubt you can call this a fashion blog, since I’ve never really been on board with the whole fashion concept. I wouldn’t call this a style blog either, I like to be unique and I don’t think most people would appreciate my preference toward rather dark and old fashioned clothing.

I’m  a bit different, so I intend this blog to also be a bit different. I don’t have a dramatic story about why I decided to start writing about this subject. It’s just something that I love. What started as going grocery shopping in princess outfits and ripping apart dresses (hey, it was to long) has turned into being inspired by historical fashions and altering my own clothing.

I’m a bit more adventurous with my style then most. I view outfits as creative art and considering the popularity of fashion media I doubt that I’m the only one who does. So many girls and women spend so much time and money keeping up with trends, and to be blunt, I don’t think that the outcome is very impressive. Just go to the mall and you’ll see that almost every girl under the age of 25 is wearing leggings, a sweatshirt, and UGGs. It’s the reason I dislike magazines and am not a fan of any blogs other then street style.

I’m not going to be talking about the latest fashion show, giving you tips for dressing a “pear shape”, or recommending 15 cute party dresses. If you want that kind of advice there are countless other sources about every imaginable subject relating to fashion and clothes. What I hope to do with this blog is to help you in finding your personal style. A lot of people care about their clothes and I believe that many of them want to express themselves through their outfits, it’s just easier to play it safe then to try something different.

I want to encourage you to leave an impression and view your clothing as art tools. I don’t want to post something that will become obsolete next season or even decade, I want you to get something out of this. Not in a deep “I will never be the same” kind of way, just a little something that makes you, you.
I hope to encourage you to try something different, something that you love instead of like.
